The Strangest Cars I’ve Raced series continues continues on the Marshall Pruett Podcast with Owen Trinkler and the bizarre 1997 Keiler Kopf IMSA World Sports Car. Named after a German boar, built on top of a failed Chevron WSC, with homemade bodywork that copied the era’s dominant Riley & Scott Mk III, it could be the most confused prototype from the late 1990s. Trinkler takes us back to its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona with motocross legend Jeff Ward and Indy Lights veteran Roberto Quintanilla where, aside from top speed and competitiveness, the American entry found a strange place of its own on the grid.
